I’ve been struggling to find the time to finish this simple project for about a week now. I believe it really should take about 20-30 min. if you’ve got good images that are ready to go. I however was not so lucky. I had to alter in some way or another all 98 photos to get the exact look I wanted. Due to the fact that I have several thousand photos in iPhoto, I had to decide early on what 98 photos whould win a coveted spot in my life poster. The easiest solution I could come up with was to pick 98 photos per year. Sort of like a poster sized yearbook. So, in this case I chose the year 2004 to start with to practice and see if it’s worth doing any of the other years.
The majority of the photo editing I did was using the built in features new to iPhoto 5. I altered the levels of every single photo, increased the temperature on about half of them and manipulated the contrast and brightness on only a few. I must say that the directions found here on Mike Matas’s blog were dead on accurate. I would love to hear some comments about what you think of my life poster.
