Oh, the Places I’ll Go

I would have never imagined that by now I would have been to as many places as I’ve been. All of my trips out of the United States were related to my service in the military except for a small trip across the border into Canada in 1994. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and the experiences that I’ve encountered. Currently I’m in my “Waiting Place” looking forward to whatever comes next. I just thought it would be cool to see where I have been and where I have yet to go. I feel like I’ve already been to so many places but after looking at the map below, I’ve...

Kansas Veterans Affairs

This is the Official Web site for Kansas Veterans. The primary goal of this site is to provide information and resources for veterans and their families in the fields of education, health, vocational guidance and placement and economic security. This was a redesign project and probably one of the largest that I have ever built. Over 100 pages of content were migrated into this design over a period of 2-3 months. In addition to the design mockups and hand coding of the HTML and CSS I also provided Dreamweaver Training to the Veterans’ Affairs staff to be able to maintain the content of...

Development Arrested

It’s Over…or is it? I would not hold your breath for another season of this show, but it was a little odd to hear the promos for it described on Fox as the “Season Finale” as opposed to the “Series Finale.” Could have just been an oversight but for a show that had a checkered future already, it would’ve been nice if Fox was a little more clear about it’s fate. Regardless, if it is the end, it was certainly a great ride for a great ensemble. For the life of me I can’t understand why no one ever watched the show. Award winning show – mind you. Oh well, such is...

Get off your asses

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin told local radio station WWL-AM exactly what he expected the federal government to do in response to Hurricane Katrina’s wrath. Clearly a public official under enormous pressure to deliver to his constituents demands, I saw an elected official finally do what you “NEVER” see them do. Demand, demand, demand! If you want a concrete view of what is really happening in New Orleans, you have got to listen to the audio-cast on CNN.com or read the transcript of the interview that the Mayor gave to WWL Radio. It’s incredible. And it’s the kinda thing we...

2nd Chance for 2nd Season

Just a friendly reminder to tune in this Friday @ 7:00 pm on FOX to watch one of the best new comedies on television. I got on the bandwagon late on this one, completely missing season 1 in 2003. This spring I caught up with the DVD’s on Netflix thinking I’d have to do the same for season 2. But, luckily the “Powers That Be” at Fox Broadcasting Company have decided to push this show out in marathon type chunks over the course of five Fridays. The first 2 hour marathon starts this friday and includes the first four episodes of season 2. My understanding is that the season 2 reruns are...
